You can go on this page and be part of a group drawing. You have the opportunity to make a mark on a drawing in progress.

Hi, everyone. I hope you are doing well. Just a few things that might be interesting. I recently took part in a group exhibition outside of Philadelphia with some pretty amazing artists. The artists on the roster included Alex Cohen, David Campell, Derek Bernstein, Jenn Warpole.Paul Metrinko, and Sterling Sharp. Please took a look at the link: http://kingsoaksart.com/. I was unable to attend but I heard the show was a great success with over 200 people attending the opening alone.
Please took a look at the link: http://kingsoaksart.com/.
Also, I want to spotlight a friend of mine's work. Chris Eales is an illustrator who does simply amazing work. I think everyone should take a look.
You can find his website here:http://www.christophereales.com/
Hope everyone is doing well.

Here is the link to the "12 pages in 12 hours Comicbook event I took part in a few weeks ago. From this link you see the work of all the artists that participated in Paris and Berlin. A very interesting idea.... we basically met up with the materials that we were going to use to make our work, and were given at the start of the event the theme to work from. Our theme was "Tour" or tower in English. We then were to generate a 12 page work based on the theme given, I chose originally to work form a story told to me by my stepmother about how her and her sister would climb an old WWII lookout tower near their childhood home. the idea developed into a story about what the tower could mean to different people, and most importantly I think, a metaphor for imagination, and over coming fear to become your true self.
Also I am selling drawings as of last week on Ebay. You can find my auctions by searching the username mjmcjilton7911.
Enjoy!

Drawings from an event I took part in yesterday, "12 Pages in 12 Hours," drawing a 12 page comic book in 12 hours. The themem which was revealed only at the beginning of the event was "Tour" or tower in French. The word has three meanings in french, and I took the most literal meaning as the point of departure. I developed my drawings from a story told to me from my step mother about how she and her sister would climb a WWII look out tower near there house.

I think it is time to start bringing observational work back into my main work, maybe it can compliment the work from imagination and push that work a lot further. I feel the work from my imagination is hitting a ceiling right now. It doesn't feel free like my drawing from life. Lets see what happens.....
