I was able to get a quick sketch in of this object in the sky over Berlin.

Today I received my certificate from the Volkhochshule for attending the required hours for my German language and culture class.... its great to be able to begin to understand what is actually being written in these formal documents that I get from time to time  here in Germany.....:)

I am taking a German as a second language class at the "Volkhochshule" in Berlin right now. The class is going well and I am getting better at speaking German everyday..... On break last week, I walked by another classroom and saw something I had never seen before..... a class made up of Turkish woman also taking a German language class. I was astonished at the site. I could see it as a painting immediately. The levels if different contrast excited me greatly. I will try to work out a picture from the experience . Here is a first sketch I did.

Here are a few sketches I did while I was in Augsburg, Germany. There was a little bar next to the house  where I stayed. My friend Lucki (promounced "Luggi") went to the bar and I went with him to paint the people. The light was very strange. Very Yellow. It was interesting to see what happened to the colors that were matched in the yellow light, in normal light. Unexpectedly, I may have figured out why some post impressionist color schemes are so dynamic, as they may have also been done in a different  light source then the sun. A happy accident.

Here is a view of some pictures in progress here in Berlin. The subway system is vary lively with people from many places. The stations themselves are these great,cavernous things.
